What is it?

What Can I Expect?
The AVIVA SCARLESS LABIAPLASTY procedure makes a micro-incision and then directs Radio-Frequency Assisted Lipolysis (RFAL) energy to the labia tissue, not only removing excess tissue, but also tightening the skin layers.
Patients typically only require one treatment per area, and the procedure is performed in-office under local anesthesia. The entire procedure usually takes about 20 minutes.
Results are instant and permanent, and most patients can return to normal activity within 1–2 days. Results continue to improve afterward, with best results visible after 3–6 months.

Labia Minora Reduction
The labia minora are the inner folds of skin that are attached to and part of the clitoral hood. For many women, enlarged labia minora cause unhappiness with their physical appearance and discomfort while engaging in simple physical activity.
This procedure reduces the labia minora so that they do not protrude outside the vulva, or corrects any asymmetry in which one labia is longer than the other. The most commonly performed reduction procedures are the curvilinear trim—in which extra tissue is removed—and the wedge, which removes a pie-shaped piece of tissue to sculpt a natural border. Closure is typically done with absorbable sutures.
In both cases, you’ll achieve a neater, more compact appearance of the labia minora with less protrusion and greater symmetry.
Labia Majora Reduction
The labia majora are the fatty outer folds of skin that extend from the pubic mound down to the perineum just under the vaginal opening. Typically, the labia majora are plump and protrude slightly, but when this area is enlarged, it can protrude or hang down more than you may desire. This condition tends to worsen with age and weight fluctuation.
Enlarged labia majora can be treated with our labiaplasty in NJ which is a reduction surgery, and may be combined with other cosmetic procedures such as labia minora reduction, vaginoplasty, or monsplasty. The procedure involves making an incision along the inner fold of the majora and the minora, and then removing the excess skin and/or fat. The incision is then sealed with several layers of absorbable sutures.
You’ll achieve a more youthful appearance of the labia majora with less protrusion and a reduction of sagging or wrinkled skin.
Clitoral Hood Reduction
This surgical procedure is often performed in conjunction with a labia minora/majora reduction procedure, often as a result of excess folds left around the clitoral hood when skin is removed from the labia.
The excess tissue is marked and a simple excision is made to the extent of the folds. Closure is usually done with absorbable sutures.

Recovery & Downtime
For all of our labiaplasty procedures, your recovery is quick and the risks are minimal. Nevertheless, a labiaplasty is an intricate cosmetic surgery that requires skill and expertise to achieve superior results.
As with any cosmetic surgical procedure, preparation and recovery can vary by patient. Every detail of your surgery—including preparation and post-surgical recovery recommendations—are always determined on an individual basis after careful consultation and a thorough physical examination with Dr. Falguni Patel.
The length of time required for the surgery, and to see results from it, will also vary depending on the patient and the combination of procedures you undergo.
Our entire staff is here to make your procedure go as smoothly and comfortably as possible. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the staff and Dr. Falguni Patel and then taken into one of our pre-op rooms. Dr. Patel will again go over the surgery and review any last questions you may have.
The surgery will be performed in our state-of-the-art, OSHA-certified procedure suite. Most of our patients are awake and under light sedation, but we do have an anesthesiologist on staff if you desire. A personal surgical assistant will be present to take care of all your needs before, during, and after your New Jersey labiaplasty.
Afterward, you can relax comfortably in our recovery room until you are ready to return home.
